Review content:
I almost lost my job when I was arrested for aggravated assault and battery. It was really self defense, but because I am a big guy, everyone expects me to be the one who starts everything even when I don't. I was simply dragged into a bar fight when someone swung a chair behind my back, so of course I had to defend myself. The idiot who swung the chair was much smaller than me, but that doesn't give him the right to hurt me.
I had to look for a good criminal defense attorney, so I asked my cousin in Brooklyn if he knew a good lawyer who could defend me. New York has a lot of lawyers, but that doesn't mean all of them are good. I was also short on cash, so not only did I need a good one, I needed someone who was willing to work with me on a payment plan. My cousin recommended George Vomvolakis, who had defended him when he got arrested for domestic violence 2 years ago. I remember that he did a good job, and got the charges dismissed.
So I decided to give George Vomvolakis a call, and he gave me a long consultation, which surprised me. He told me that my chances were very good in getting the charges dropped, and prepared me for everything I needed to expect. he knows the system very well, and has a great track record in all areas of criminal defense, so I felt really good with my decision in hiring him. He also worked with me on a payment plan, so all I had to worry about was getting the best defense and staying out of jail.
In the end George was able to get the charges dropped because he gathered the evidence and witnesses to prove that I acted in self defense. The whole thing got resolved before ever going to court, thank god. I kept my job and reputation, which is very important to me. I'm really glad that I was able to get great legal representation for reasonable fees, which isn't always easy to get these days. It's not even guaranteed that a high priced lawyer will necessarily care enough to put in the effort in your case. I hope I won't need him in the future but if I do I know I'll call him again.
