I had a slab leak in my condo unit that caused a lot of damage. I contracted a company to come out and do mold cleanup. At that time I didn't know anything about mold remediation or, the need for testing. I did a lot of research on the internet to learn about the process for mold remediation and the need for testing. Based on the information I found on the internet I knew I needed to have a post remediation. I researched companies that did that testing and found the website for Alpha Environmental. I liked what I read about the company therefore; I contacted John Papageorge. John came to my condo and did an assessment and found water damage on a closet unit. Based on his knowledge and meter testing him did to check the moisture level he said the closet was could have mold under the floor and in the area surrounding the closet organizer. John then put together a Protocol for the contractor to follow.
In the meantime I was waiting for the insurance company to settle the claim. Because they couldn't see the mold just the water damage on the closet unit they weren't convinced there was mold. At that point I took off the baseboards in the areas that looked suspicious and contacted Alpha Environmental to come out and do a tape sample. John Papageorge came out immediately to do the testing that determined there was definitely mold. He modified his protocol and that was sent to the insurance company.
There was yet another issue to determine if the clothes in the closets needed to be cleaned by a restoration dry cleaning company. Once again John Papageorge come to my condo and did testing on two pieces of clothing. He modified the protocol with his recommendations.
John Papageorge was very professional and supportive during one of the most stressful times in my life. He went above and beyond to ensure I got everything I needed. I would highly recommend Alpha Environmental.
