I love the Center for Puppetry Arts -there is no place else like it. The Center offers incredibly innovative live theater with the bonus of a museum of puppetry and hands-on workshops ? all for an unbelievably low ticket price (you'll pay twice the price or more for a similar live show)! The Center has its own in-house performers presenting imaginative, high quality, fully staged productions - singing, acting and manipulating their puppets all live. After the show, the puppeteers even show you how they did it and explain how the puppets work. In between these shows, the Center brings in guest artists offering an incredible opportunity to see a variety of puppetry styles and shows from around the world.
Pros: Innovative, entertaining, live puppetry performances
Cons: There isn't one in every city!
