I have NEVER been compelled to write a review before. I take the good with the bad...part of living in nyc is finding that perfect spot for every occasion...WELL, Gatsby's is the perfect place if you ARE a regular. I live in the neighborhood and went on a Saturday night to have one last drink. As my friends and I were half way through our beer a big tough guy, who proceeded to tell us that bar is "his house" because he is there 7 days a week and wishes to stand where we were hanging out...he was obviously on something else, other than alcohol (it doesn't take being in the medical profession, which I am) to figure it out. He pushed my male friend and slapped me in the face!!!! Pros: across from a truly great neighborhood bar, The Spring Lounge Cons: coked-up regulars and doorman without a conscience.
