Review content:
I visited Corky's on 11-24-2007. They have the best ribs I have ever eaten. I am a rib enthusiast and rate ribs by how easily the meat comes off the bone, whether the bone ends are carbonized and make for good marrow sucking, and if the sauce is there but isn't overwhelming regardles of what it is. A bonus is the value. In other words size of portion for the price and how much meat is on the bone. Corky's exceeded every category. When I picked up any bone, the meat came right off, cleanly, from every bone. The sauce was a nice Texas tangy sauce and the quantity of meat was something I've never had in a restaurant. I lived in Dallas for three years and Chicago for 20 years. These ribs beat anything I have eaten in those cities. The baked beans were OK, but the cole slaw had a nice dimension provided by green bell pepper in the slaw. Another bonus was the great service we had. The food server was on top of glass filling, cleaning up any trash or empty dishes, and gave good advice on the menu to other members of the party. If you want ribs in New Orleans, Corky's is the place.
Pros: Great taste, great value, great service
Cons: Don't come here if you're calorie counting.
