Review content:
When I arrived, my stylist's work area was a mess, including hair all over the chair. She apologized about the floor but I had to brush the chair off myself. She did a decent job with the color but didn't really have any creative suggestions. She gave me a very relaxing shampoo. When it came to the cut, she disagreed with me quite a bit about what I was asking for. I've worn my hair that way before, and I didn't think it looked that bad (who knows, maybe I looked hideous) but what happened to "the customer is always right"? After the cut, she dried my hair, put a little hairspray in, and said, "okay, what do you think?" I have straight, fine hair that requires some handiwork and styling products to achieve an acceptable amount of volume. After I told her this, she said, "well that's what you're going to have to do." Basically, she did not style my hair at all. I had to go home and wash it again so that I could style it myself. Thank goodness I didn't have plans immediately after my appointment. Fortunately, the cut turned out OK, but for $60+ a cut, I should look better than I would if I did my own hair.
