Do not let these people into your house! They are true scam artists. Last year, we had problems with our AC blower motor. We made the mistake of calling "Service Experts- Midlands Heating and Air Conditioning." Had I been wise and read the previous reviews here and in other places, I would've run. When they came out they advised that the blower motor was bad and needed to be replaced. They gave me a quote around $700, but then said that if I purchase their service plan for $22.50 a month I could reduce my price for total around 600. Little did I know at the time, but they had put in a universal motor, that within a year, would shake apart the fan guard of my unit. three weeks ago, my unit's fan guard was literally ripped asunder by the vibration from their cheap motor. When they came out to replace their motor, they advised that the fan guard for my unit could not be replaced and I needed to purchase an entirely new AC unit. I didn't have the money to replace the unit, so they reinforced it and informed me that since the motor was a replacement under their warranty the new motor itself was no longer under warranty. This reinforcement lasted a couple of days and I called them back, at which time they advised me that the AC could not be turned back on because it would rip the coil apart when the fan blade flew off and hit it. we had no AC and all the while they denied that it was that was possible to get a new fan guard. Now my wife is a brittle diabetic and she became dehydrated due to the heat and slipped into diabetic ketoacidosis. At this writing, 15 days later she is still in the hospital.
