Review content:
My wife and I recently went to the Thai House for dinner. She had been there before a few years ago (what happened?!!), and this was my first time there. We have heard good things of this restaurant, and saw the great reviews here on citysearch. So we went on a date and the experience was almost ruined because of the poor everything we experienced from this restaurant. First off, they seated us next to the door (not recommended). Worst seat in the house, the cold draft from the front door ruins the evening, and the music from their speakers are so ridiculously loud in the front it feels as if you are at a concert rather than dinner at a nice restaurant. And, besides, the music isn't even authentic, it was contemporary rock. Secondly, the food that we ordered were Thai favorites of ours but we were disappointed by this place's attempt at them. I had ordered the cashew chicken and my wife had ordered the green curry. My cashew chicken was absolutely disgusting! It was nothing like any Thai cashew chicken that I've had before, almost like it was in a gravy sauce. My wife's green curry was an ok attempt, but it looked anything but appetizing. The presentation of food was not what I had expected from a well-established, well-reviewed restaurant. For an appetizer, we wanted to try something we hadn't tried before, so we chose the goldbags. Yuck! It was like eating chicken flavored baby food. Pure nastiness! Even the sweet and sour sauce was watery.
