Most of you know it is VERY difficult to find a mechanic you can trust. My husband and I are new to Nashville and we were hesitant to begin the search. I looked online for reviews and found some great ones for Budget Brakes. I called in advance and asked what it would cost to change my front brakes. They quoted me $89+change and said I could come right in. I dropped my car off at 12pm and within half an hour, the main mechanic come out and told me that my brakes were totally fine. My car is a 2007 Toyota Yaris and I have never had the brakes changed. My car has about 70,000 miles and I was positive it was time to get new brake pads. The mechanic indicated that I still have 3/4 of the pad left and that I still had a long time to wait until changing them. He offered to show me the brakes so that I could verify what he was saying. They offered to wash/clean the back brakes for a low price, but they let me know that this was not mandatory. They were very upfront and honest about the conditions of my breaks. I was really taken back by the service at this auto shop. Honestly, I came in really protective b/c I am a woman and I have experienced discrimination and shops that have taken advantage of me b/c I am a woman. I really appreciated the fact that the shop was clear from the beginning about their prices, that they were fair and honest, and that they treated me with respect. I also LOVED the fact that I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I would HIGHLY recommend Budget Brakes on Charlotte Pike in Nashville. I will never take my car anywhere else.
