We wanted to rent from Broad Ripple Apartments, but after turning in the APPLICATION, we found a cheaper and equally as nice apartment. The office manager, Scott, called me 2 days before anticipated move in (mind you, no lease was signed) and said the keys were ready. I told him we had found another place and he said, "well I guess you forfeit your deposit of $250." He said there was a clause about the deposit. If the appliers did not call within 72 hours of handing in the APPLICATION, the deposit is forfeited. NEVER HAVE I BEEN CHARGED $250 for APPLYING to an apartment. These people take advantage of anyone they can. RENTERS BEWARE.
