To the previous person who posted; you can encourage your HOA board to change management companies. There are many others out there that operate with integrity and put in hard work to make HOA communities better. I would strongly suggest staying away from University Properties. They ran our community into the ground because they lack hands on experience. If you need someone to pay bills they can do that, but in terms of maintaining an appealing community they are terrible. The property manager always said your community will only be as good as the residents make it, which is an excuse for them to perform poorly. We have a new management company in place that is hands on and is improving our community for the best. As an HOA board you should be making decisions, and not overseeing vendors or monitoring your neighborhood for issues. If you are with University, you will be doing both. Stay away!
