Businiess name:  Northwest Fighting Arts

Review content:
A "jack of all trades" gym that focuses on a many fighting styles but specializes or "masters" in none. If you're looking for a great cardio workout and entry level fighting technique Northwest Fighting Arts could be right for a while. The unassuming and polite staff is comprised of some hard working journeymen with limited understanding of the application of what they are teaching. The major bummer for me was not being able to get out of a contract that they told me I could get out of. The bait was a free month with term contract. After signing up the juice begins to flow. Phone calls from 3rd party debt collectors demanding payment. $40 handling fees (nearly half of the monthly fee).I told them I wanted to cancel, they tell me to contact the gym. After contacting the gym to make a settlement I was told that the best thing to do is continue paying and attending. I am a black belt with years of experience. I have traveled the country and trained with masters, coaches and olympians at many schools. I have never been locked into a contract. This is not what Martial Arts Schools are about. Again. If you're looking for a gym to get sweaty in go there but if you want to learn martial arts be warned.... MARTIAL ARTS DOES NOT EXIST IN THE NORTHWEST FIGHTING ARTS GYM.
