We took several coworkers from our firm here for a retirement party. I had read all sorts of glowing reviews about this place and expected the best but ended up getting what I expected. We couldn't order of the tasting menu so we had to do the three course prix fix for $80+ per person. The lobster chowder was a serious disappointment. Nothing but bland froth, accompanied by one teensey, rubbery piece of lobster, and no hint of any truffles which were offered on the menu. The entree of the scallops was equally as poor. This time, 4 scallops (which were not cooked through all the way) were accompanied by a tasteless green froth this time, and no sign of the promised black truffles. Dessert was probably the best course. The apple crepe was terrific as was the pistachio ice cream, better left by itself than with the pecan tart that tasted store bought and slightly stale. The chocolate tart fell short with its crunchy yet chewey texture. Overall, this small but very expensive restaurant left us with empty stomachs and wallets.
