Review content:
When I moved to Chesapeake in 2004 I started going to a big name mechanic. I have two older cars, and every time I went there, they would fix about three more things than what I had brought the cars in for. The charge would be $400 or $500 more. I finally went to Lennie's place, Baucom's Auto Service, and he doesn't do that at all. Lennie fixes the problems that I tell him about, and if he does find anything else, he talks to me about it. He will tell me how serious it is, and if it needs to be fixed right away or if it can wait. His prices are consistently lower, and the turnaround is almost always a day, every time. I have already recommended Baucom's Auto Service to everyone I know. He never overcharges me, and whatever his estimate it, the price is often even a little lower than that. The work is done quickly and inexpensively. He is very honest. It is easy for a mechanic to mislead their customer, but Lennie is really honest. There have been many times where I thought the problem was something bigger, but he let me know it was actually small. He is also conscientious. He understands that people don't have a lot of money, so he is always very cautious. He talks to the customer first and goes out of his way to find cheaper parts. John Sutherland
