First Carolina Care is a joke by far the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. They didn't cover any of my newborns shots, when I took my son to the emergency room when we were out of town I was informed that I should have called them first to see if they would cover that certain Emergency room. CRAZY I thought so I wanted to make sure that I heard them right I asked, So if i need to rush any of my family when we are out of town you expect me to call you to see if you will cover it? YES was the response I got. Unbelievable I was paying them Hundreds of dollars a month to not have anything covered now I have thousands of dollars of medical bills. I went to urgent care same thing happened again, we were out of town and my newborn needed to go to urgent care and you guessed it they covered nothing... I couldn't believe it and I still can't, I have since removed my entire family from that plan over to Blue Cross and I have not had one single problem and for the entire family its about the same price. I asked Carolina Care, you won't even cover $1.00 out of the $1,100.00 bill for her newborn shots, the answer you guessed it, NO. If you have nothing better to do with your time than to sit on the phone and argue with these idiots or have so much money that you don't mind paying for insurance that doesn't actually insure than this is the best insurance company in the world.
