For Mother's Day, my brother and I decided to treat Mom to dinner at Red Restaurant in City of Industry. It was our first time there and let me just say the overall detail in service could use improvement. Granted, the natural vista and the interior decor of the Red are both aesthetically pleasing. It was the staff experience which made Mother's Day dinner sub-par. Hostess Lauren did not even smile or greet our party. First impressions really go a long way and it really showed. There was no hospitality in the front staff or hostess area. Our waitress Rose, however, did make up for the service as she was attentive and personable. On the other hand, her bus staff showed considerable lag time when asked to box up left overs for dessert and bread. Overall, my mother enjoyed her meal and received a nice cupcake as a Mother's Day gift. Would I recommend this place for Mother's day in the future? If staff gets retrained on courtesy, promptness and attention to detail, then I can see Red running afloat and hopefully gaining more loyalty with the surrounding community. Thanks for reading.
