Don't know which church "superficial" attended, but it definitely wasn't this one!
We have been attending The Worship Center for almost 11 years and it is a wonderful House of God. There is no "fakeness", just real, loving, nonjudgemental people. We have never attended a church with as much warmth.
The main thing we noticed on our initial visit was the absence of judgement. People there (the congregation, the pastor, and the staff) are just very friendly. There are no cliques. No one cares what race you are, what type of clothes you are wearing, what your social/economic status is. Everyone is just there to worship and love the Lord.
The pastor's messages are always bible-based, informative, stirring, and relate to current issues and circumstances. We have learned so much and have grown in our relationship with the Lord due to these inspiring sermons. And, regardless of the topic, the message is always taken directly from God's Word.
The music is at The Worship Center is contemporary, and the band/worship team is amazing.
One of the best things about this church is the awesome child/youth program. There is something for EVERY age group here. All three of our boys participated in the youth services and programs. Our two older boys are grown and live in another city, but still come back when they can and attend services with us.
We are moving soon and hope to find a church that comes close. We are definitely going to miss the wonderful family we have known here.
