Review content:
I have been a regular customer at Jiffy Lube on North Broadway for several years. I have always found them to be pleasant and hospitable to work with and the job always gets done to my satisfaction. However, two days after my recent visit, I noticed that my right rear tire was missing its valve stem cap. This, of course, made me look at the other tires. The valve stem cap on the right front tire was cross-threaded and barely on. The valve stem caps on both tires on the left were very loose.
My big concern about this, of course, is that if they cross-thread the cap on the tire valve stem, how can we have confidence that they didn't cross-thread the plug in the oil pan? If they do not tighten the cap on the valve stem cap properly, how can we have confidence that they tightened the oil pan plug properly.
By the way, my tires are only one month old. All four of my tires had valve stem caps, and they were all tightened properly, before I had my vehicle serviced at Jiffy Lube. They definitely need to talk to their people who do the tire pressure function and tell them to use necessary care in replacing the valve stem caps.
As I bought my tires at America's Tire Store across the street from Jiffy Lube, I was able to go there and they gave me a valve stem cap to replace the one that was lost when I brought my vehicle to Jiffy Lube.
