Review content:
I just returned from Cary massage; and, unfortunately, it was the worst massage I've had in over 10 years of body treatments, including practitioners who were still in school. I suffer from severe tension and mild pain in my back between my shoulders and in my lower back, as well as moderate stiffness, but little pain in my neck. In under an hour t(I had booked a 90-minute deep tissue) the 'therapist' had lightly stroked by entire body -- with less than a dozen deep strokes to my back. When he lifted my limbs and head, his arms shook as though he was unable to support the weight. As a result of the way he held my neck, I now have increased tension and pain in my neck and back to the point that now, after more than three hours after I ended the session, I am having difficulty turning my head to the left without severe pain in my back neck and arm. When I expressed my displeasure to the therapist, he asked if I wanted him to continue to work on my neck. When I was waiting at the front desk to speak with the receptionist, he told me I only had to pay for an hour. (I was on the table for less than an hour.) When I told the receptionist, she simply stared at me with wide eyes and said "I'm sorry." While I've had mediocre massages in the past, I have never felt the need to dress so quickly so I could go home and wash off the excess oil that was dripping off of my legs; never have I had a massage where the professional was so inept, he was unable to find the appropriate places in my arms, back and neck. Neither have I had a body treatment when the practioners hands were so noticable rough that I felt like suggesting he try Eucerin cream. If you go to Carey Massage, don't expect a therapeutic experience, professional behaviour, or customer satisfaction as a result. Pros: The waiting room wallsare a nice color. Cons: Lack of professionalism; Lack of skill
