Businiess name:  Evergreen Credit Union

Review content:
Last month Paypal withdrew 5 dollars 5-6 times, and they didn't have right to take it from my savings account. They were supposed to take it from checking where I keep a balance. They admitted they didn't have the right, and apologized. Evergreen Credit Union had charged me 30 dollars for each 5 dollar bounced check. When I called Windham, they told me I had to get something from Paypal that admitted that they were at fault. As luck would have it, I knew they would want proof, so I got them on a three way conversation with Paypal, and the rep apologized and took responsibility. Evergreen said it was not sufficient, so I had the Paypal rep email his contact information, and he again took responsibility. This was again not satisfactory to Evergreen Credit Union. They demanded that I get a letter from Paypal on their letterhead, and would not budge until did so. I was going to be out almost 200 dollars in bounced check fees because of some woman with a power issue, or simply someone without the intelligence to give good customer service. I had a friend call someone he knew in the bank and ask that he take care of it. I was about to file a complaint with the Bureau of Banking, but he didn't know that. He did reverse the bounced check fees. He is a decent guy, but whoever makes the decisions at Evergreen Credit Union in Windham that causes so much stress and strife should be replaced, or the bank policy needs to be adjusted to reality. Who wants to spend hours on something so simple. Jerks. I will write each time they do something good, or bad. We will see how the chips fall. So far, the verdict is go back to high school, and take "How to Run a Bank" business classes. Until then, buyer beware.
