A legal guardian is supposed to look out for the best interests of the people they are 'overseeing.' When that 'guardian' plunders the vulnerable person's savings and does give a hoot about that person, you have a recipe for disaster and rampant abuse. Guardian abuse has been making headlines in the news lately since the population is getting older and families are seeking a helping hand. This makes taking care of someone else's incapacitated relative such a ripe area for those wanting to take advantage and exploit those he can't fight back.
Families who hire Mindi Blanchard or her company, Bridge Builders, get more than they ever bargained for. She charges $75-$125/hour and she knows how to get lots of hours on the bills. Mindi Blanchard is the epitome of concerned, professional taskmaster. She should get an Oscar. Mindi is very adept at convincing everyone and anyone looking on that she is very concerned....but, what she is most concerned about is how much money can she get her hands around from the unsuspecting family who are entrusting her with the care of their loved one. Once you have signed on watch out and kiss your savings goodbye. She loves having total control and letting everyone know that she is Boss, so don't get in her way. She is Leona Helmsley reincarnated, only she has control over your loved one's life and finances.
Many are sorry they ever heard of Mindi Blanchard or Bridge Builders and the thousands squandered along with anguish of dealing with a Fox In The Henhouse is never repaired.
