I'm a new patient of Dr. Shirazi and I'm very pleased with his skill, professionalism, and honesty, however, I cannot say the same for the employees at the front desk. They seem like they have things under control, but under the surface they lack the proper knowledge they need of insurance and scheduling and are not nearly as coordinated with each other as they could be. They will assume you have no idea what kind of insurance you have and what kind of procedures are done by the dentist even if you have gone to dentists your whole life and had a multitude of procedures done. They also REALLY need to work on estimating appointment lengths to properly schedule patients so they can be seen on time and not be overbooked. They tend to have a long wait or even have to cancel your appointment if an "emergency" patient comes in and they are too busy. If you get in, they usually have to rush your procedure because they are behind (or understaffed - I don't know) and you will have to come back to the office multiple times to have all things taken care of (like X-rays and a prophylaxis cleaning not done in one visit). Normally I wouldn't mind this except you have to pay $4 to PARK in the garage each time you come back and also my work schedule has become very hectic lately so it's hard to reschedule. Also, I just want to reiterate how much I appreciate Dr. Shirazi's honesty and professionalism apart from these other shortcomings.
