I had heard about a short sale as an alternative to foreclosure but didn’t know how it worked. Someone suggested a good real estate agent but also cautioned me to choose one who was reliable. He said most homeowners who opted for a short sale wound up losing their homes to foreclosure because of an inefficient, or incompetent, real estate agent. Then I met Rick Smith who patiently explained the process and how best we should approach it. He was there with me through all the many negotiations with the lender. Finally all went well. Rick Smith got short sale approval and found a buyer. True, I have lost money, but I have peace of mind. Rick Smith is the short sale negotiator you should be talking to if you are facing foreclosure.
