Review content:
We had the church reserved from 1 to 3 on 4/14/12. Two weeks prior we viewed the church during open house. The caretaker present was pushy and accused us of doing a free rehearsal. We had our Priest come to view the church and a few family members to check out how the set up was. We felt pressure to leave fromt he caretaker and he was very rude to us. On our wedding day the caretaker was again present from the beginning. Our priest was late due to unforseen issues but arrived within 45 minutes (still time enough for our 2 hour rental for $400). After our service the caretaker started complaining immediately to me that again we had a free rehearsal and that our priest was late. I told him that was none of his business and we still had 45 minutes to do pictures. We did not decorate the church so there was no cleanup. We were unable to do the photos inside so we had to do outside due to the caretaker. I found out from our guests and ushers that he was complaining loudly in the biginning that we had to many people present. All seats were taken and we did have one row of people standing up in the back. He had told me at the open house we should only have 4 to a pew (which is crazy). Again, we felt very pressured to leave early. My son went to him with the time to show him we still had time to take pictures, etc and he stated I had the issues. I contacted Oaks Pioneer Church direcly with a letter but have received no response. I would suggest to anyone planning a wedding at Oaks Pioneer Church to have it elsewhere, especially if it is a young couple getting married for the first time. $400 was not worth the treatment we received from the caretaker of the church on both occasions.
