Review content:
The dining room was so dark that all color and creativity of the food was completely wasted. We were seated at an undesirable table with our backs to a waitstation, where the staff proceeded to gab loudly all throughout our meal. Although there were plenty of staff on, I watched in annoyance as nobody cleared the seven dirty tables around us. There were only four active tables! Our waiter recommended the artichokes, which were disguised by a heavy, soggy batter. The fish carpaccio was so covered in "stuff" that I forget what the fish was. The short ribs were quite good, but, in a recurring theme, my ahi was pounded into non-existence by the overdose of wasabi in the mashed potatoes. The waitstaff seem young and inexperienced, perhaps the kitchen is too. The restaurant could have been very good, were it not for the abundance of amateurish mistakes.
Pros: cool bar
Cons: way too dark, apathetic staff, food needs work
