Businiess name:  Shiki Japanese Restaurant
Review by:  Tux L.
Review content:
It's always exciting to find a little unknown place that serves authentic dishes. Even better when they can do it for under ten dollars and Shiki Japanese Restaurant does not disappoint. The front staff of one is friendly and always smiling while the kitchen staff works away, busily. They offer a variety of Japanese dishes from cold soba, calamari, teriyaki, udon and sushi. As they've switched from being a full-service restaurant to a fast food joint, the sushi selection suffered a bit and is small to say the least. However, for what the sushi selection lacks in variety, the rest of the combination plates more than make up for it. You'll leave here feeling satisfied after spending ~$7 on a meal --each meal replete with rice, side salad and miso soup. My favorites are the lunch combo with Calamari and chicken teriyaki ($6.50) and the soba and sushi ($7.25). Hot tea is always on the house. Don't let the size of the restaurant deter you. There might not be enough seating for large parties, but they do offer both dine-in and take-out for lunch and dinner. Once you try it, you'll keep coming back !
