Review content:
I visited 230 Fifth to meet my friend's friends for late night drinks. There was no cover and we just took the elevator to the rooftop. The atmosphere felt a little retro chic with the low lounge couches to bar seats. The inside is pretty dim lit with other areas more lit. I thought it felt cozy inside. Outside was very cold, especially at the rooftop. They have heated lamps and complimentary red robes that patrons can borrow while up there. The view is spectacular, despite the holiday decorations surrounding the railings.
The drinks were on the pricier side, but I guess it's a trade off since there was no cover cost and there's a great view. And they didnt charge for coat check. My only gripe was that the atmosphere was too vapid and there we were there on a sunday night, so it's understandable why it wasn't so busy.
Overall, I'd just go for the view. The drinks were okay. My friend's mango martini was strong and lots of flavor.
