Businiess name:  Tacos Guaymas
Review by:  Chris D.
Review content:
Tacos Guaymas is a local chain specializing in fresh-made Tex-Mex cooking. In addition to the usual crop of wet & dry burritos, they have a suprisingly large selection of full-plate meals, plus some well-executed appetizer favorites. My personal pick is the shrimp quesadilla, a huge flour tortilla, folded in half and stuffed with grilled peppers and onions, jack cheese and crunchy grilled prawns. The quesadilla's a full meal in itself - if you don't want a sleepy afternoon I'd suggest splitting it with a friend. The decor is clean but pretty basic - Saltillo tile on the floor, sturdy laminate tables, and heavy steel cafeteria chairs. Service is similarly basic - cafeteria ordering with food delivered to your table. As an added bonus, the Guaymas location I visit most often - on Leary Way between Ballard and Fremont (also known as "Freelard") - has a great outside seating area. If it's a sunny day and you're in the area, it's a great place for a leisurely lunch in the sunshine.
