Review content:
I've lived in LA all my life, but had never been to Geoffrey's until now (and I'm in my mid 30's)! I was excited to finally go, as my husband really wanted to try it. We were seated at a table with a lovely view and the waitress was a doll. However, the food was just absolutely horrendous. We both got the surf and turf and the lobster looked like it had possibly been microwaved. It had no life or love to it, and the orange sauce that it came in tasted like it had soured and gone bad. The steak was ok...nothing terrible but nothing to speak of. My husband and I were quiet when we took our first few bites because we were having a nice romantic evening and didn't want to speak negatively, but then we started laughing, and at the same time, said "Something's not right with the food." We figured their kitchen may be something out of Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmares. Perhaps they only have laborers and no real chefs. It's too bad, because it really is in a pretty location.
