Review content:
As you approach the NC/SC border, you may notice the plethora of signs urging, no COMPELLING you to make a stop at South of the Border in Dillon, SC, right off of I-90.
This is an interesting place and seems a bit out of its time. I don't know if it's acceptable to continue to rehash the old myth of the lazy Mexican snoozing under a cactus, but that's what South of the Border does, and they seem to do it with pride.
There is a hotel here, some restaurants, and an amusement park of sorts.
I would only reccomend going here so that you can fulfill the TRUE "road trip" experience. There's nothing really of value here---the hotel is a bit overpriced, the restaurants are below par, and the amusement park would perhaps entertain the under-10 crowd but that's about it.
