Review content:
I brought my 2004 Volvo S40 in because I wanted a second opinion regarding a check engine light. Auto Works basically confirmed the dealer's diagnosis (a relief I wasn't getting screwed there, I suppose) but found other issues that needed attention. It seems all the repair suggestions were justified (e.g. timing belt was due, tie rod was showing wear) but this is the most I have ever spent on car maintenance/repair in one chunk....$1,900!! Well, it's not Auto Works' fault if my car needed the services (though I've always been diligent about getting the vehicle services), and I must say Brandon (service advisor) kept me in the loop at all times, and went out of his way to thoroughly explain to me the various issues. He's a real gem. I think I will go back to Auto Works because it's convenient, and they seem as honest as anybody. I'm just trying to get over the pocketbook sting - yeouch!
