If you have items around your house to sell you might try putting in a free ad through the Community Press Newspapers. I've used the one in my area which is the "Loveland" addition.
They will put in your ad for an item/or items with a value of $50 or less for free. The ad will run for three weeks. You can put in one ad per week.
I've tried it with various degrees of success. People seem to like small furniture items. I had a lot of calls on a bedroom dresser. i've paid for an ad for a yard sale and also had very good luck with that. I just think it's kind of neat that you can try the free ads for cheaper items. You have nothing to lose!
