Who doesn't love to go discount shopping? We all do. Like I said with my post about Burlington...we all love a good bargain. Kmart is pretty good for bargains... I've gone there during there Pepsi sale and they've had 12 packs, 5 for $10. You can't beat $2 a 12 pack. They also have some good clearances... and generally good prices. This Kmart had a reputation for stinking. I'm not kidding you. When we would walk into Kmart on S Semoran, you were hit with this unpleasant odor. After a few minutes, your senses would adjust to it, but this is one of the reasons we didn't go as often as we could have. You couldn't even tell WHAT the odor was... just that it was foul. We hadn't gone in there for several months... the other day we stopped in quickly to look at something, and my first comment was "There's no smell?" It was a question, I wasn't sure if it was just my nose, or the fact the smell was gone. My boyfriend told me I was right, that the smell wasn't there any longer. It also looked cleaner... I forgot to mention the fact that sometimes you'd walk in there and you'd be afriad to touch much of anything because the store looked so dirty. Like they just hadn't bothered with sweeping or mopping the floors. It was nasty, in general... but perhaps enough people complained and someone from corporate Kmart said "Hey, clean up your act, this is OUR store your employee's are representing." Either way, it was a good call. It is defintily much nicer to shop there then it has ever been. I haven't been back since... mainly because I haven't needed to go. I hope I can report the next time we go back, it's still as clean & fresh smelling as it was that day. If not, you can bet on it I will let you know. So, it gets a Good, 3 star rating. Kmart should know better then to let something like that happen. After all, we the consumer want to purchase items from a store that is clean & smells fresh. Who wants to buy clothes when the floor looks like it hasn't been touched with a cleaning product since the day it opened? Not I... not I.
