Review content:
Went here with my family of 8 for dinner this weekend. The menu is mostly pub food and pizza and some Italian and Greek specialties thrown in. We split buffalo chicken tenders, which I thought were a perfect blend of spicy, salty and sweet, but hubby thought they could have been hotter. They were accompanied by a packaged bleu cheese salad dressing with no discernible chunks of bleu cheese in it, and no celery or carrot sticks. We tried the mozzarella sticks (standard, marinara a bit watery - I like chunky and zesty), and zucchini sticks (bit limp). For dinner, my brother and his wife shared a salami and pepper pizza with their kids, hubby tried the chicken parm with ziti and ate about 1/4 of it, and I tried the moussaka, which was the pretty terrible: the eggplant still had the seeds in it, the beef was gritty, the potato was mashed not sliced, the cream sauce was very heavy, and the tomato sauce topping was not in the menu description! It came with a medley of seasoned frozen vegetables cooked to sogginess. The lemon-chicken-rice soup was not lemony enough, and the Greek salad was mostly iceberg with a boring red cider vinegar dressing. My father had the lasagna, which was a mammoth portion but not terrific, and my mom had chicken and broccoli Alfredo. We all ate less than half our meals and took them boxed to be polite, but they went right in the trash. My nice had a side salad topped with grilled chicken, and ate most of it - they were very kind to create a child sized portion. The waitress was very nice and when she saw the kids sharing my orange slice garnish brought them a whole plate. The service was stellar throughout the meal. All this, plus a pitcher of beer, 6 drinks and 2 sodas was a whopping $150 for the worst meal I have ever eaten. The pizza was ok and the beer cold, but if you want ethnic cuisine, try a specialty restaurant.
