Businiess name:  Fort Loudoun State Historic Area
Review by:  Kate C.
Review content:
At Fort Loudon State Historic Area you will find an abundance of fishing, swimming, boating and picnicking. The scenery is beautiful - with views of Fort Loudon Lake on two sides. This wooded area has some nice walking trails, picnic tables, grills and other amenities for those who love the outdoors. You will also find a nice museum detailing the history of the fort during the colonial period when it was occupied by the British. And if you're lucky enough to visit on a Garrison Weekend, you're really in for a treat. Park Manager, Jeff Wells, has created a terrific program that is as entertaining as it is educational. There are also other special events throughout the year including an 18th Century Trade Faire in the September and a Colonial Christmas in December. Truly a memorable experience.
