I am new in town and really miss the brewpub in my previous city. I went to the Firehouse with my husband for dinner. It was fairly early for dinner (5PM) but the place seemed fully staffed. Despite this, we waited almost 20 minutes for someone to bring us menus and deliver water and utensils. My husband had a burger and fries and ordered a Hefeweizen. The beer was flat and didn't taste good, his food was decent though the fries were cold. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was dripping oil and was very overdone, again, the fries were cold. The server whisked away our food before I could ask for something else b/c my fish wasn't edible. It took forever to get the check and by then we were so tired of watching all the staff members chatting with each other and cursing that we left in disgust. This might be a good place to sit and get drunk (just don't order the Hefeweizen) but it is hardly a destination eatery.
