I have been a customer of H. John Davis for 15 years. I recently had a propane delivery to my home in Pocono Mt. PA. The delivery was for 95 gal. and the cost was $812. That's 8.54/gal. When I called H. John Davis and inguired what they charge for propane I was advised that the cost is $3.59/gal. I asked why I was charged $8.54/gal and was informed that $3.59 was the charge for "new customers" but they would adjust my bill. My research shows that the average rate from other propane providers is between $3 - $4. Had I not questioned these outrageous charges, I would be paying more than twice the average current rate for propane. Shame on you H. John Davis for over charging a good and loyal customer. When I refill my propane tank at the end of this season the service will be provided by another supplier. You just lost a very good customer. The rating provided should be minus 5 stars but that was not a choice!
