MOLD and ROACHES in CLIMATE CONTROL! I was forced to put my furniture and life time belongings in storage so I could care for my elderly father in Florida. Due to the recession, the length of time my things were in storage grew; however, I did manage to check on my things at least every six months. My things are still in storage and it’s been 3 years! I returned this month (10/2011) to check on my things and give notice that I would be removing my items and everything was covered in MOLD and ROACHES were everywhere! My ALLSTATE homeowner’s insurance does not cover MOLD and probably shouldn’t when there is WATER coming in under the door and the frame is rotten due to lack of maintenance! I have paid over $6,000.00 in storage fees and they have offered me $1,500.00. I think they are full of GUILT! There have been MANY more lives ruined by Public Storage, just look up the reviews! I would NEVER rent from them again!
