Review content:
I don't know why I keep getting talked into going back to this place. Talk about digusting food. One visit during the late afternoon had the staff crowded in the back goofing off together, leaving us and the few other diners there without service. I ordered the eggplant parmesean and the slices of eggplant were thick, chalky, and impossible to cut. Moreover the food was cold. It was inedible - yet the waiter asked no questions when he picked up my plate full of food. What a disaster!
The next time I got suckered into stopping by I tried a salad; I was under the foolish impression that a salad was entirely impossible to mess up. I should have asked for the dressing on the side - because it probably came with a full cup of dressing. You couldn't even see green in the bowl if you tried to find it. Disgusting.
This is all a shame because the restaurant interior is entirely charming. I had high hopes that this would be me and my neighborhood friend's staple venue for a casual meal. Unfortunately, the food is so unbearable I'd rather pay more for a way better meal elsewhere.
Pros: Atmosphere
Cons: Possibly the Worst Food and Service in SF
