I had windows installed last year by Gandy Windows, which is now out of business, so I lost my guarantee. This year I am in the market for a new roof, gutters and a new back door. Yesterday (Monday 8/1/11) I called One Stop Home Improvement THREE times and left three messages before anyone got back to me. By that time, it was too late. My neighbor had Hansons windows installed and I noticed the high quality of work. So I walked across the street and asked my neighbor for a contact person at Hansons. He gave me the name of Justin Hickey. I called Justin and explained my needs. He was very friendly and not pushy at all. He asked me if I wanted a morning or an afternoon appointment. I told him I’d prefer an early appointment. He agreed to be at my house at 9:00 a.m. the next day. I am retired military and being on time is very important to me. Justin arrived at three minutes before 9:00. He was very professional and took his time to answer my questions. I found that talking to him was like talking to a friend! Justin didn’t try to sell me something that I didn’t need. I appreciated that a lot. He was very knowledgeable. Justin gave me Brian Elias’s business card, who is the president of Hansons. The card had Brian’s cell phone and office number on it. Justin told me that I could actually talk to Brian! I said, ‘Get out of here!’ Who gets to talk to the president of the company? I’m retired military but I don’t get a chance to talk to generals! Good job, Hansons! THAT’S how a company should be run!
