Review content:
I visited Kuleto's last weekend for dinner while shopping for dinner. As a SF resident, my impression was that the restaurant basically served average Italian food but did well because of its touristy location. I couldn't have been more wrong. I eat out quite a bit and Italian's my favorite and Kuleto's ranks right up with some of the better Italian restaurants around town. Our server told us that the restaurant had just been purchased and that the old chef from their glory days had come back. What a huge difference. The service was fantastic. Our server was a "real" person with a personality we could relate to and she had some excellent suggestions and definitely knew the menu well. The food was really good too. We started with bruschetta with arugula and fresh mozzarella that was to die for. I had veal and my wife had some pasta and both were excellent. My only complaint, if you can call it one since we didn't have a reservation, was that it was crowded but even at that we only waited about 10 minutes. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. And as a somewhat tough critic on SF restaurants, Kuleto's definitely passed my test and can't wait to go back. Pros: Food, Service, Location, Price Cons: Parking - But garages surround the place
