but we don't make any claims about the content of these pages. We strongly believe
in freedom of expression, even if a review contains unappealing or distasteful
content or present negative viewpoints. We realize that this may be frustrating,

Review content:
I went to BARC to adopt a cat, and was greeted with a distant manner. They told me to find my way into the cat room and look at the cats. Really, noone assisted me or helped me choose a cat. They proceeded to greatly downplay the agressiveness of the cat I wanted, claiming the cat was "shy." After being attacked twice within 24 hours (and with NO provoking on my part), I decided I needed to return the cat, which I had then had for 3 weeks.
When I returned the cat, the owner was present, and did not care AT ALL about the cat's behavior or true personality.
While I appreciate that BARC is a no-kill shelter, I would be very wary as to the "story" they tell you about whatever animal you may want to adopt. They also don't refund the $100 adoption fee.
