Review content:
We wouldn't consider ourselves picky diners, but this place just didn't do it for us. My significant other and I read the previous 16 reviews BEFORE dining at China Grill and were expecting the following: great service, large portions (to share), great dining atmosphere (contemporary style), and tasty food. China Grill delivered only one of the above: the contemporary style. Here's what we received, instead: 1. A rude server with a grouchy attitude that passed us on to another server without informing us halfway through our meal. 2. Ordered the Schezwan Steak thinking it would be large enough for two people to share (this is what China Grill prides themselves on.) The steak tasted pretty good, but the portion certainly wasn't enough for even one person so we ended up ordering more food. We think the slow economy (and hence 40% full restaurant on a Sat night) is the reason why they are skimping out on food portions now. 3. The style and decor of the restaurant is nice if you are in to the contemporary look (like we are.) Lighting was excellent and the bathrooms were clean and tidy. Looks like the recession is affecting the attitude of the servers and, unfortunately, that attitude (and portion size) gets passed on to the diners at a hefty price. Save your time and hard earned money and dine elsewhere. Pros: Contemporary style, Decor, Clean and tidy bathrooms. Cons: Service, Servers had attitude, Food Quantity, Value
