Review content:
If you have the budget to shop at La Belle Elaine's ($2000-$6000), you may want to consider finding a custom dress maker. La Belle Elaine's seemed way overpriced and there's a really snotty vibe at this place. It's also strange that their gowns are thousands of dollars but the dressing rooms were not elegant at all--I felt a bit uncomfortable in the dressing room. It had dirty (stained) carpet, and it had a window which seemed odd for a dressing room--had to go behind a curtain to put the dresses on. I did find one gown that I liked, but it was over $4000. I really could not bring myself to pay that much for a dress I would wear for 8 hours. The irritating thing is that I was told if I bought it that day, on the spot, I would get a 10% discount. But only if I bought it that day. That is just ridiculous--if they could give me the discount that day, then they should be able to give me the discount in a week or a month. They do have a really cool "runway" where you can envision yourself walking down the aisle!
Pros: they carry good designers--Jim Hjelm, Priscilla of Boston, Rivini, etc.
Cons: high prices, sales pressure
