Review content:
Yesterday I visited a new place for lunch in South Park, called Terrace Cafe. The restaurant is tucked away in the high end Piedmont Row by Del Frisco's and Brio, but surprisingly has a comfortable and low key atmosphere. As mentioned earlier, I had every intention of eating lunch at Terrace cafe but was disappointed to find out that they only serve breakfast/brunch on the weekends because of increased business (per the insert in the menu). Seeing that it was 12pm and the fact that I am not a huge breakfast person, it had crossed my mind to get up and go grab lunch somewhere else but I had been wanting to try the food and everything looked very fresh. I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits with a hash browns which were fantastic. The gravy was not extremely heavy and yet was full of flavor. The hash browns are actually one big hash brown which was cooked perfectly and also had lots of flavor. It was accompanied by a mixed greens mini-salad-sample, which seemed out of place, but nonetheless it worked with the vinegarette-esque dressing it was coated in. My girlfriend ordered a make-your-own omlet with turkey, cheddar cheese and green peppers which was also very good. It came with a fresh fruit salad composed of blueberries, mango, strawberries, melons and blackberries which were all very good. The atmosphere here is great, very open dining feel. While the quality of food is better than typical restaurants, it's not stuffy at all. The prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality that you receive. My only problem was that lunch was not available, it seems that it isn't going to be on the weekends anytime in the near future which is unfortunate because I would like to see what the rest of the menu has to offer. Pros: Good Breakfast, Fresh Food, Wide Selection Cons: No lunch on weekends
