Review content:
I took advantage of their September 21 - 24 screening and free X-rays and cleaning. This is very generous of them to offer- so I thought. No dental insurance for years is what prompted me to do so.
The place is quite dirty- a bit shocking for a dental facility. My third year dental student was scattered, no supervisor in sight. She was also not graded for the work. I made my intention for my visit very clear. I got the X-rays done by protest since she told me once I was already in the chair that I would need to return because they were out of film. She also tried to not give me the cleaning and make me come back for another appointment. I protested yet again and got the cleaning. Still have no idea what the set of 18 X-rays revealed. At the end of the visit she told me that these visits are two separate visits-- 3 -4 hours to do a cleaning and X-rays? If you include the screening- that's three appointments. Not worth it. I found my dental student to be very scattered-- and this is before I got testy about her repeated requests to have me return over and over for minimal care. Sorry NYU not for me.
