Review content:
My name is Kerri.I was a psychiatric patient of Dr.Robert Michael Perovich for a good part of 12 years. He was my first psychiatrist I had ever seen when I was approx 23-25 years old.My initial evaluation consisted of a serious of questions and left me in tears by the end of the session. He told me that he could not help me and left me feeling without any support or help.A few months thereafter I had some sort of psychiatric breakdown and being he had been the only psychiatrist I had ever seen, the hospital requested he participate in an evaluation. He did a asked a brief series of questions and told me that I had "Manic Depression Illness" and put me on medication. He quickly released me from the hospital and thus became my "official" psychiatrist.I read a whole doctor's manual on "Manic Depressive Illness" and was quite disturbed by what I read although it did help me in the future to understand certain symptoms and causes which are extremely serious and disturbing.I then proceeded to see him as a patient and he tried several different medications to help me with my symptoms. He was always on time for an appointment and looked sharp and well dressed.I begun to see him on monthly basis..After many sessions, questions, and hospitalizations and analysis he changed my diagnosis to "Pchyzo-Effective and began to experiment with different psychiatric presription drugs.I found that the medicines he prescribed left me feeling "manic" or too depressed. He could never seem to find the right combination of drugs. All of the medications he prescribed after many years turned me into an obese and introverted character.I was a psych patient without medical insurance at the time and for sometime he would give me samples of these medications.I lost my looks, personality, zest for life and overall character on these medications. He eventually had me see a neurologist who said I an onset of "tartar dyskenisia." Dr. Perovich refused to take me off these bad meds.I went from being a jovial character to "Night of The Living Dead."He is wrong
