I was having transmission problems and was looking for a good shop to take my truck into. After reading the nothing but positive reviews on Dauntless I figured I couldn't go wrong. I was wrong. I called and spoke to Gil and described the symptoms. On the phone Gil was helpful in setting up an appointment for the following day and giving me some homework in anticipation of diagnosing the problem properly. I show up at the appointed time with my homework complete and the first words after the pleasantries were that I was looking at a repair upwards of $2000. Bear in mind that at this point he hadn't even driven the subject vehicle. Once I convinced him that the truck was not exhibiting the symptoms he was convinced existed we finally got out out to the vehicle where he hooked up the OBD-II and pulled the codes. The first code was dealing with the shift 1-2 solenoid. Gil immediately pontificated that there was no shift 1-2 solenoid, I should have left immediately because there is. I press
