Businiess name:  River Inn Restaurant
Review by:  Sheila C.
Review content:
The best thing about River Inn Restaurant is the scenic views of the Tennessee River and Racoon Mountain from the back deck. This restaurant specializes in seafood, offering a variety of seafood combination such as shrimp, scallops, catfish, and combo platters. The menu also features non seafood items including salads, sandwiches, and steak. The prices are about average, and the service is slow at times depending on the time of year. River Inn is closed during the winter months, and re-opens in the spring. River Inn is conveniently located on Suck Creek Road, about 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, near the foot of Signal Mountain. The restaurant also has a small bar and lounge, as well as plenty of inside seating. The decor is casual and cozy with a large fireplace in the dining area. While there are better seafood restaurants in the Chattanooga area, the views are hard to beat. There is also a dock outside, for boaters who wish to stop by for drinks or dinner. The restaurant is only open for dinner, and can get busy during the summer, so it's a good idea to arrive early.
