Review content:
Geoffrey's (pronounced "Joffrey's") is your quintessential Malibu restaurant: great ocean view, great service. The food is pretty good, but not the best. (Better local food, lesser ocean view at Beaurivage down PCH.) This is a good date, anniversary, special (but casual) occasion restaurant for the evening & a great lunch place for business. We locals eat here frequently. The last time I ate here was a few weeks ago, and I'd had occasion to eat identical appetizers (brie baked in pastry with stewed apples and gorgonzola) and desserts (tiramisu) at Beaurivage in the same week. Geoffrey's was very good, but Beaurivage was better. The relaxed ambiance at Geoffrey's is better. The meat dishes are very good, but the accompanying starch can be a little weird (especially with the dim night lighting) in its presentation. Tasty if you like the carbs. Geoffrey's is still one of my favorite restaurants in Malibu.
Pros: superb view, superb service, pretty good food (not the best)
Cons: chairs aren't that comfortable; valet service is mandatory because PCH parking is unsafe
